Hi, I’m Sylvia from and today I want to be talking about how to stay sane while you’re trying to build your business. Let’s do it.

Okay, so if you’re anything like me, perhaps you’ve heard some of these things.

You’ve got to build your list. The money is in the list.

Once you get them on the list, you have to sell to them straight away.

Don’t sell to them straight away! You have to nurture them. A nurture sequence is what you need.

You need to be able to get these people into your funnel. The funnel is the only way to make money.

You need to get away from 1:1. 1:1 is not going to make you an enough money.

You’ve got to build a course.

Courses are dead! You need a membership site.

Listen, it’s all about video. Video is the only thing that’s going to get you seen.

You need to be on YouTube. You need to optimise your YouTube channel.

You need to do Facebook Lives. Facebook Live is the only way to go.

Snapchat is the thing that you need.

Are you on Twitter?

Maybe you need to go on LinkedIn.

Instagram….Instagram is where you will build your list.

You need to know how to take good photos on Instagram, you can’t just put any old photo.

Instagram stories, you need to do Instagram stories.

Snapchat, it’s all about Snapchat.

Are you on Twitter?

You need a Facebook group.

You’ve got to create a community.

You can only make money if you’re part of a mastermind.

Are you part of a mastermind?

Are you investing in yourself?

You need to invest in a high end coach, they are the ones that are going to help you.

You need to take that programme. That programme is what’s going to take you from where you are to where you want to be.

That’s the only way to grow your business….


If you’re anything like me, you’ve heard all of these things, maybe even more. They drive you insane. You don’t know what to do. You don’t know where to turn. You’re spinning in a hundred different directions and you are just not being fully present to grow the business that you started. The business that you love. Here are three things that you can do to get back on track and to drown out some of that noise.

The first thing is, go back to your why.

Why you started this business? What you’re trying to achieve? What’s your long term vision? Do these things fit into your long term vision? Are they the right things for your ideal client? Go back and really look at what was going on in your mind when you first started. Where you where, where you wanted to be, and figure out how you’re going to get there. Figure out what it’s going to take. It won’t require all of those things. It will require some of those things, for sure, some of those strategies. Really work out what’s best for you. You have to love what you’re doing. You have to be able to enjoy what you are doing in your business. If one on ones are your thing, great. Don’t let anyone talk you out of it. If they’re not, and it’s building a cause, then build it and build it with love. It’s got to be something that you love to do.

The second thing is, what is right for your clients?

Now, where are they? Are they on Snapchat? Are they on Twitter? Are they on Instagram? Are they on Facebook? Where are they mainly? Are they searching through YouTube and that’s where you should be? Really figure out who your client is and where they’re hanging out, then go there. They are not everywhere. They are not on every platform. That’s where you need to maybe do some market research. Figure out where your clients are and go there. Let them see you.

The third thing that you need to do is to slow down and breathe.

It’s not a race. The person who gets to the finish line quickest isn’t the winner. It’s the person who’s in it for the long term. Are you creating a quick, make as much money as you can business, and you’re exiting in a year or two? Are you in this for the long haul? Are you trying to create a sustainable business? What is it that you really want? If it is for the long term, if you are trying to create a sustainable business, then you need to really show up in a way that shows that you are there, that you are thought leader, that you know what you’re doing, you’re an expert in your field, and you are doing it step by step, day by day. Not in a crazed, rushed way. Not with your finger in every pie. Just steadily, slowly, getting there, building, getting people to know you, like you, trust you, see you. All of these things will help your business grow in a way that is aligned with you and with your vision without being a crazy person and without listening to every so-called expert out there who tells you you need their latest thing in order to make money. You know, you know deep down within in you what you need to do. It often is just a stop, slow down, and breathe.
